These have been useful for when we go camping and want to drink some wine on the beach without getting sand all over our glasses or drinking out of mugs. I could also see these being a great on a picnic or for backyard entertaining.
The only drawback is that I don't know if I'll get a chance to use them as much as I'd like!

They could be longer, but they were stable. Perfect for the bon fire on the beach. You don't want anyone to kick over your glass in the dark. This would make a great house warming gift for someone on the beach.
